SafetyNet Micro Environmental Monitoring System


SafetyNet Micro is a web enabled network environmental monitoring system, delivering flexibility in configuring and viewing the monitoring ambient sensor status from remote locations. An inbuilt analogue sensor monitors the ambient temperature and humidity constantly. A dual digital sensor, a smoke sensor or a fluid sensor can also be monitored via SafetyNet Micro.

The unit is compact and is 1RU (1/3 width), rack mountable.It can be powered by a 9-12V DC plugpack or by a 48V DC power supply based on the model.

SMS features in SafetyNet will allow the freedom in receiving a message on your mobile phone anywhere you are if the monitored environment is in alarm. You may select an inbuilt modem or the network interface to deliver this SMS message, based on the model of SafetyNet Micro.



SafetyNet Micro is an SNMP agent. SNMP traps are sent when alarms are detected. SNMP also allows to poll the analogue sensor values periodically to store and plot the history of sensor values, thus giving visual impression of the environment behaviour.

SafetyNet Micro can deliver SNMP traps even when Ethernet connection is not present via an alternative PPP link. This is an optional feature.

   PPP as optional. Allows incoming PPP connections to view webpages
      even when Ethernet connection is down.
   Optional PPP allows sending SNMP traps along the PPP network       connection thus allowing notifications even when network fails.
      (Even ideal for applications where there is no network present, as       network connectivity is only a phone call away - refer to Product User       Manual chapter 14)
